Prof Dr Ram Prasad Bhatta was born on December 16 in 1946. He passed HSLC examination in 1963 and got 1st division from Rangia High School. In 1967 he completed BSc and in 1969 he did his masters in Physics securing first class from Dibrugarh University. In 1970 he joined Nalbari College as a lecturer of Physics. He completed his research work on Plasma Physics in 1996 from Gauhati University. He served as HOD, Physics, Nalbari College and as Principal, Rangia College. After his retirement from Rangia College he joined as Principal at Sankardev Academy, Nalbari in 2007 and had been serving till his death. Dr Binoy Kumar Majumdar, Vice- Principal of Sankardev Academy, Nalbari said that he was a successful teacher, researcher, writer as well as social worker. He composed many text books and essays.
